Palestinian Film 'A House in Jerusalem' Now Available for Streaming on Shahid - Stream Now!

"A House in Jerusalem," the latest film by Palestinian director Muayad Alayan, has been making waves in the international film circuit. The film, co-written by Alayan and his brother Rami, has been celebrated at various prestigious film festivals such as the Boston Palestine Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Mostra de Valencia-Cinema del Mediterrani, Athens Palestine Film Festival, and the Palestinian Film Festival in Australia.

The film, which made its world debut at the 2023 International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), was the only Arab project featured in the 36th edition of the IFFR Pro's Production Market. "A House in Jerusalem" later premiered on Arabic streaming platform Shahid.

"A House in Jerusalem" boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Johnny Harris, Makran Khoury, Souad Feres, Miley Locke, and Sheherazade Makhoul Farrell. The film is Alayan's third feature film, and its production involves several key players such as PalCine Productions, Wellington Films, Red Balloon Films, Metafora Production, and Key Film.

The film has received funding from esteemed institutions like the Doha Film Institute, Netherlands Film Fund, MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, British Film Institute, French Consulate General Jerusalem, and has benefited from awards like the Filmmore Postproduction Award and AFAC's Cinema Grant.

In the Arab world, MAD Solutions is responsible for the distribution of "A House in Jerusalem." This film, with its powerful narrative and exceptional cast, is a testament to the growing influence of Palestinian cinema on the global stage.
