Sahara Las Vegas Encounters a Rooftop Flame Outbreak
On August 12, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m. local time, a fire broke out on the second-story roof of the Sahara casino resort located on the Las Vegas Strip at 2535 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to the fire call, with a total of 48 personnel on the scene. The first CCFD crews arrived at the resort at 5:09 p.m.
The fire was quickly contained, and no injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters. Construction debris was found to be burning at the time of the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Clark County Fire Department. The incident is part of a concerning pattern of construction-related fires at major Las Vegas hotels this year, exacerbated by extreme summer heat increasing fire risk on construction sites.
It's important to note that the fire is not related to any specific event or entertainment happening at the Sahara casino resort.
